In page SmallSearchcontrol (top right), always redirects to _layouts/searchresult.aspx. Not respecting settings done at enhancedsearch.aspx

I have migrated site from MOSS to SP2010. I have created a new Search Center for this migrated site collection. I am not using Visual Upgrade.

I have configured search center correctly and it gives me results correctly from this migrated site collection. I have configured the search settings on migrated site collection using viewscopes.aspx and enhancedsearch.aspx links under site settings.

I want top right search control to use SearchCenter for showing search results, so "Site Collection Search Center" is configured correctly. "Site Collection Search Dropdown mode" is set to "Show, do not include contextual scopes, default to 's' url parameter ".

However when search in site collection it always redirects to /_layouts/searchresults.aspx and show no results. if I explicitly access "_layouts/osssearchresults.aspx" or search center I get the results for keyword.
