Windows Update Breaks FAST Search Server

So I have an issue I have been completely unable to figure out. We have a FAST Search Server that needs to be updated but when I update it, FAST Search completely breaks.

For security compliance reasons though we need to apply all the Windows updates so I can't just leave it unupdated so the FAST application continues to work.

Does anybody know if it is a specific update or some step I'm missing specific to FAST when updating the server so it continues to work.

After an update I can access the search page but when performing any search I get an error page that says "The search request was unable to connect to the search service". It's definitely caused by the Windows Updates themselves, I'm just not sure which one or how to fix it.

Does anybody have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Here is the complete text of the error I'm getting:
