Crawl Time with FAST Search in SharePoint 2010

Hello,

I have recently deployed FAST Search for SharePoint 2010. I wanted to know if crawling time would be impacted after this or not.

1- I attached two content sources to FAST Content SSA (SharePoint Web Application and a File Share).

2- Now i ran this crawl test in SharePoint Search 2010 farm and SharePoint with FAST search farm.

Surprisingly CRAWL time was reduced from 8.24 hrs to 2.03 hours in SharePoint with FAST. I am not sure why crawl time reduced? Can anyone of you explain this please?
