Weight search results by content type

Hi, 

I'm wondering if it is possible to somehow tweak the search results page to show a particular content type as the top 5 results in a search. 

I will only be using the standard All Sites scope and the customer wishes to rank any items matching a certain content type to appear first. Is this possible with out of the box functionality?

Example: user searches for text "user manual". What should happen is that the top results should be a content type "manual" and then all other results will follow in the results as normal.
