We store our projects that have been archived on network attached storage devices in subfolders with the following naming convention: 141001xxx-yyy, where 14 is the current year 10 is current month and 01 is random numbers. xxx is the project managers initials and yyy is our clients id we assign.
We will wait and archive several jobs at once. We place these jobs in an archive ID folder. We started at 10 and are now at 2900.
Some project numbers can be in many archive ID folders due to the fact we may open the project back up months or years later due to client modifications.
I have created a Search Center site. Created a file share content source, did a full crawl, and associated it with the search center. If I do a search it will return what is to be expected. However sometimes someone knows what the project number is only, say 080509 without the initials, and would like to have only results returned relating to that project number.
So how can I return results based only on a portion of the folder name?
