Hi all,
We have a problem with SP2010 Search.
We have a sharepoint with 3 languages and we have custom content types. this content types names are setted from a ressource files to show the name depending on the user language.
Now, the problem is that search for files having a content type X. we have found that the name of the content types are in 2 languages and sharepoint is considering them as different.
i explain: if i search CTNameLang1 i get ResultSet1, CTNameLang2 i get ResultSet2, CTNameLang3 no results! and ResultSet1 and ResultSet2 are different!
as i'm not understanding the 'why', i was to add CTNameLang1, CTNameLang2, CTNameLang3 as synonyms inthesaurus files for the 3 languages + neutral.
my problem is if i search CTNameLang1 i'm having the same result as the other languages, but if i do contenttype:'CTNameLang1' the results are different.
my question is: is it a normal synonyms behavior? i mean does synonyms work only if you put only the exact word and nothing else?
2nd question: Can someone explain why in the search result, the contenttype names are in different languages ?
Thanks a lot
